Oh to be invited to the morning meeting at the KMPH newsroom. This station is in serious need of sensitivity training. Don't call Asians "oriental," and don't bully your wife. Anchor John Malos was slapped with a restraining order after allegedly abusing his wife. He's not allowed to see her or the kids (no word if any special protection has been extended to Kopi).

Malos' wife said she feared for her life, but one neighbor seemed pretty confident he could take 'em:

"I would laugh if he was violent," said Borough, adding that he has never met Malos' wife. "If he raised his arm, you wouldn't flinch."

Borough frequently raised the anchor's ire by letting his dog "go to the bathroom" on the Malos lawn.

UPDATE: Malos has been booted from KMPH. Lawyer-to-the-Fresno-stars Warren Paboojian (of SJK fame) is representing Malos and says he did not resign. If you can't take in a hurricane victim, won't you open your home (and your heart) to an unemployed anchorman?
