What a sweetheart

Soon as my landlord found out he could only raise my rent by 5% annually I get a 60 day notice to quit. What a jerk. Better the renter that pays rent every month then the one you dont know about. I am near the corner of Millbrook and Olive he wont get more than 1k a month for the place. It has a swamp cooler and floors that need serious work. No carpeting. We had to tear it out cause of the last person here that had a zillion cats that peed all over.

Matter of fact in order to get 1k a month from anyone else he would have to fix it up a bit. I dont know seems pointless. Oh well lets see what section 8 says....doubt they can help much on this one though.

I mean yeah I have a paper trail...but the law is there more for the landlord than me. Best I can do is transfer...good luck finding a place safe for my family under 1k. *shrug Same story different part of California. Prop 13 and sunny weather means prices never really go down. Until I own a home I cant win. Time to find another state...I dont know what else to do.

Quitting

Isn't that retaliation...? Aren't renters protected aginst it? Your family has got to have more options than to just quit.
