Mayor Autry has vetoed the first raise in developer fees in 15 years. From the article:

Autry — who vetoed the single-year increases today — said if fees aren't raised again in 2008 and 2009 Fresno will fall short of the $415 million needed to improve the city's street system during the next 18 years.

"Without having years two and three in place, we are in essence creating a multimillion dollar funding gap with no sure plan to fill it," Autry wrote in his veto message.
