"Students Cooking For Smiles" Fundraiser Dinner
WHAT: "Students Cooking for Smiles"(Come and Eat Our Homework) Fundraiser Dinner: A semi-formal dinner where students from both departments will showcase what they have learned throughout the semester by preparing a seven course meal using healthy cooking techniques, while others will coordinate the planning of the event.
WHO: Students from the department of Food Science & Nutrition and the department of Recreation Administration & Leisure Studies
WHERE: University Restaurant at California State University, Fresno
WHEN: Saturday April 21 at 5:00 p.m.
WHY: Proceeds from the event will benefit "The Smile Train," a non-profit organization dedicated to providing children from around the world with needed surgeries to reconstruct cleft lip and palate birth defects. (www.smiletrain.org). The event will also allow the students from both departments to work together to demonstrate the skills they have learned in their classes.
COST: $50 PER PLATE
PARKING: Parking on Saturdays is relaxed; however, the parking lot with the easiest access to event site is "D"
