The Mayor and council member Henry T. Perea have teamed up to make Fresno a greener place. The two hope to push an environmentally-friendly package through council that will encourage solar power, clean burning vehicles, and fast tracking green building projects.
Nice work; let's hope the council doesn't get in their way.
Nice!
At least someone is taking notice. They should move for a referendum on some of these ideas, so they don't butchered going through council.
A lot of this stuff starts at home. I think they should officially endorse my fifteen for fresno idea from way back. If residents recognize the need for change, it'll make implementation that much easier.
Wow! A Democrat and
Wow! A Democrat and Republican working together for a common goal? I seriously doubt this is what our founding fathers had in mind when they created this country. I guess neither of them got the memo.
Somebody should say something before things start getting done! Otherwise this may get out of control.
clean "BURNING"?
There really is not such a thing as clean 'Burning', unless we are talking about Burning CDS and Hydrogen fuel for the masses is very, very far away.
But what is here are the Electric Vehicles, yeah there still are some there used to be more less than ten years ago. I remember seeing one of the Ford F150 electric pick-up trucks that the local PG&E was using. I wish I had one... people say you can only go so far on the batteries, but battery technology has changed recently, look how long cell phone batteries last today compared to cell phones ten years ago.
anyway... this last week PBS had a few great shows on Solar Energy there was California Green's show was on the million solar roofs a popular initiative some of the states in the nation are doing and then NOVA had a excellent show Solar Energy called "Saved by the Sun" ... last year NOW did a show on the documentary film Who Killed the Electric Car?
The Cleanest Vehicle is the electric car... I recommend everyone who is seriously interested in cleaning the air see the documentary film "Who Killed the Electric Car?" after seeing it I think it's one of the best documentaries made in the last year.
