Greetings!

I am proposing to artists who seek a spiritual orientation towards life that they consider joining their hearts together with me and others to form Fresno's first all artist church: A church unlike any other!
Since the Reformation and the rise of Protestantism, the arts have been pushed either completely out of the church or at least to its margins. With the fragmentation of the One Church, artists have fallen between the cracks and most artistic, prophetic, poetic types have found themselves outside the church, serving God in a profound unorthodox fashion true to the spirit of their calling. A calling much like that of John the Baptist, who preferred the lonely desert rather than the cities, who wore clothes made of camel's hair and lived on a diet of locusts and wild honey. The unorthodox lifestyle of the artist is also like that of Jesus, who loved people so much that he refused to live by the prejudices of the society he was born into and as a result was accused of being a "glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors (thieves) and "sinners." With the above in mind, I summon those who are outside of the church but would welcome one that understands them and their unique needs as artists.
