Beginning Guitar I:
Tuning with an electronic tuner and tuning by ear. Go for a Walk finger exercises and pick exercises. The neck map and basic music theory: the musical alphabet, beat counting and division by 2 and 3, easy chord charts and the bass note rule. Note reading in open position and Mystery Tunes. Open major, minor and dominant seventh chords along with four strategies of fretting hand movement. Three chord rock and relative minor chords. Playing basic chords by ear for basic tunes.

Space: (Notes and Chords) Simple explanation of music theory using finger counting, the musical alphabet and the chord/note number system. Interval names, chord names and numbers. Cost: Each one hour class is $12 dollars per week for nine weeks. This is the BEST deal in guitar instruction in town. I've been teaching guitar for 20 years and am a graduate of G.I.T.. I also give private lessons at California ARTS Academy for $20 per half hour.
