Kid's Guitar
Level/Age: Beginner/5 to 10 years old

Beginning Guitar I:
Tuning with an electronic tuner and tuning by ear. Go for a Walk finger exercises and pick exercises. The neck map and basic music theory: the musical alphabet, beat counting and division by 2 and 3, easy chord charts and the bass note rule. Note reading in open position and Mystery Tunes. Open major, minor and dominant seventh chords along with four strategies of fretting hand movement. Three chord rock and relative minor chords. Playing basic chords by ear for basic tunes.

Beginning Bass Guitar I:
Tuning with an electronic tuner and tuning by ear. Go for a Walk finger exercises and picking and pizzicato exercises. The neck map and basic music theory: the musical alphabet, beat counting and division by 2 and 3, easy chord charts and the bass note rule. Open major, minor and dominant seventh arpeggios and chords. Relative minor, three chord rock and playing bass lines by ear for basic tunes.

Space: (Notes and Chords) Simple explanation of music theory using finger counting, the musical alphabet and the chord/note number system. Interval names, chord names and numbers. Major and Minor chords, keys and three chord rock. Five can be five/seven (V can be V7). Chord progressions by number (Nashville numbering system). Secondary Dominants, the minor IV chord and key changes. Suspension, addition, extension and alteration.
Time: (Rhythm and tempo) Beat counting and beat division, straight and swing. Latin syncopations. Feels: Stand it up or lay it back
