New Stars Restaurant - There's a new Vegan/Vegetarian Restaurant in Fresno!

I recently started going to New Stars Restaurant in Fresno on the corner of Champlain and Perrin, (1134 E. Champlain Dr. Suite 108). What a surprise! The food there is outstanding, with everything a Vegan, like myself, could ever want. I'm totally addicted. Though I can't go as often as I'd like, it's expensive, (between $8.95 and $13.95) for an entree, I still go at least twice a week.
From the Caramelized Faux Chicken, and Broccoli Beef, to the garlic fries and Veggie Burgers, I've yet to taste anything that I haven't liked. The high quality ingredients, the manager Alvin and his friendly staff, and the quiet atmosphere makes for a dining experience rarely had in the Fresno area. There is a gentleness and kindness about the restaurant that makes you feel at home and allows you to relax all at once.
I promise, that if you're looking for great food, whether you're Vegan/Vegetarian, or a Carno at heart, there is nothing in the area that compares with the quality and flavor that you'll get for what you spend. You can call ahead (559 434-6363) and they'll have your meal ready for you, or you can go in and enjoy the delicious food and wonderful atmosphere; either way, I can assure you that you'll enjoy every bite! Just remember, they aren't open on Sundays, (I didn't and went there when they were closed!), but they're open from 11 am - 9 pm Mon - Sat. Go ahead, splurge and enjoy, I promise, you won't be sorry!

last night we visited a restarant that I had been wanting to try . I read a reviw in the fresno bee paper, I now cant remember what the overall rating was? well I feel terrible now due to the fact that my beufriend was terrribly shocked and disgusted to find a piece of broken ceramic from a coffee cup in the chicken dish he ordered. I was simply appalled!!! i was enjoying my gourmet rice dish and some appetizers spring rolls veggie of course, then as my beufriend bit into his soy chicken dish he pulld out the glass he tried to chew I could not belive it!!! the staff was immeditely called and the waitrees was "non chalant"!!! Mia apologized as though this hs had happened before . Mia the waitress hurried away and returned with three $8.00 gift certficates???? how degrading and insulting was this? I didnt want this I wanted the "Owner" called and an a apology, she began to hurry us as though to dismiss the whole incidnet and wanted us out before we drew any attention . as much as we go out with the kids I thought if this would of been my child with glass in thier mouth I really dont know what I would have done??? I am asking anyone out there if your planning on trying this restuarant ? DONT!!!! who know what else is going on behind those kitchen doors!!! I still cannot belive this happened and am speechless i quess it was a good ting we left before we became upset but I quess its starting to hit us right at this moment.
