DSCN0305.JPG

The Central Valley Business Incubator, in celebration of the recent opening of its Claude Laval Water and Energy Technology (WET) Incubator, invites the public to its open house Wednesday, May 30, from 4-7 p.m. to learn about the current development of water and energy technologies.

A world-class symbol of innovation and entrepreneurship, the 13,000-square-foot WET Incubator houses five early-stage businesses developing technologies with worldwide implications. On-site members have access to the water testing facility operated by Fresno State's International Center for Water Technology which includes a solar-powered pump capable of pumping up to 300 horsepower.

The open house celebration will include Leonard Smith, regional director of the Economic Development Administration, a solar-powered pump demonstration, introductions to the five on-site members and tours of the facility. An old-fashioned barbecue including tri-tip and Fresno State corn as well as Fresno State wine tasting will also be offered.

The WET Incubator is located at 2911 E. Barstow Ave. on the southwest corner of Barstow and Chestnut avenues. Parking will be relaxed in the lots adjacent to the building.
