Artists' Repertory Theatre presents: Arcadia, A play by Tom Stoppard
Arcadia is a witty and romantic play in which several modern day characters try to discover exactly what happened when the poet Lord Byron visited an English Manor house early in the 1800's. Did he have an affair? With whom? Was it discovered? And did he actually shoot someone in a duel before leaving in a big hurry for the European continent? In alternating scenes, the action of the play shifts back and forth in time, as we discover the truth about Lord Byron, the history of English landscape architecture, fractal geometry, Fermat's Last Theorem and the second law of thermodynamics! Whew! And did I mention it's a romance? Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m. May 18th - June 2nd, with additional Matinees at 2:00 on Sat May 26th, Sat June 2nd and Sunday June 3rd (closing show). There is also one Thursday show at 7:00 May 31st for all our theatre friends who are busy on weekends!!
