Tasting Menu
Domaine Alfred Vin Gris 2006
Brilliantly copper-hued, our Vin Gris showcases bright watermelon and tangerine flavors, with the crisp acidity and "Jolly Rancher""? candy flavors in deft balance. You'll agree, whether served with your favorite "casual""? foods or as a "cocktail wine""?
Halter Ranch DA Vin Gris Syrah, Mourvedre 2006
Our inaugural release of Rosé is a classic Southern Rhône-style blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvédre. Bone-dry and full-bodied, it offers enticing strawberry, raspberry, watermelon and pepper spice aromas with rich, sappy, spiced-berry flavors balanced by a crisp, mineral-tinged finish. A marvelous food wine, our 2006 Rosé makes a lovely companion to grilled and barbecued fare, broiled salmon, herb-roasted chicken, baked ham and spicy Asian, Hispanic and Caribbean cuisines
SolaRosa Pinot Noir Rose 200
Made from grapes grown in three different Russian River Valley vineyards, the wine is made in a pale vin gris style that is perhaps more subtle that our California rosé. It serves up aromas redolent of rose petals backed by pretty citrus and mineral notes on the palate. Crisp and clean at the end. 400 cases made.
SoloRosa Russian River Valley Syrah Rosé 2005
Wow. A really flavorful, distinctive rosé that's practically a red wine for all its raspberry and cherry flavors, full texture and lingering, concentrated finish. Should be great with grilled salmon, tuna tartar and sushi.
Beckmen Grenache Rose 2006
The 2006 vintage offers beautiful, crisp acidity which highlights the natural red-fruit brightness of Grenache grown on our Purisima Mountain Vineyard. On the palate, this wine is broad and long making it a rose to be savored., from its intoxicating framboise aromatics to its flavorful mix of juicy strawberries and peppery spice, finished with a hint of clove and orange peel. Adding another subtle layer of charm, the 2006 Grenache Rose was 100 percent barrel fermented and aged in all older barrels. Drinking beautifully now, this inviting wine will be enjoyable for another 18 to 24 months, but is especially good when enjoyed under the warm summer sun!
