Tower Mosaic Art Hop

Join us for our monthly art hop on Thursday, June 7 2007 from 5-8 p.m. 1040 N. Fulton - In the Tower District
South of Olive between Alhambra and Elizabeth
(You'll find us in the storefront above the Babylon Billiards Club). This month we will be featuring the art of Edward Stewart and Marcos Dorado.
Edward is a Fresno based artist, and this show will feature a large portion of his work, demonstrating some of the progression of his art career. Edward seeks to inspire you through color, shading and shape, reminiscent of abstract expressionists.
Marcos Dorado - Figurative Artist
Marcos' work represents the human figure in graphite or charcoal on canvas, paper or wood. Exhibits include Gallery 402 (NYC), Tojo Gallery (Chicago), Mission Cultural Center (San Francisco) and at the Sundaram Gallery in Santa Barbara. His art is also found in private collections around the country and he enjoys a continuous flow of commissioned portraits and nude drawings. Marcos recently received a commission for the portraits of four NBA players include Sam Cassel of the Los Angeles Clippers.

the experience might be worth it
it may be shameless self promotion, or maybe i'm just copying spleece and all his "bumps"
but come to this show. you will enjoy it. if nothing else, you can talk to me, the artist, and reflect back later on how you think my art sucks and i'm an idiot. or, you can also reflect back and think, "that's not bad at all."

start @ javawava. see sculptures there.
after that you can stop by kaos headquarters, see the local music poster show there.
then, hit up teazers and see the art there.
then, you're going to head downtown, so you take fulton south and stop by art hop @ tower mosaic. you'll get to interact with both artists, and eat some swell snacks.
then, run, drive, peddle, whatever down to jinnaka. check out the photos.
stop by fulton plaza thursday.
then, go to gallery 25 and see the members show.
then, head over to studio itz. see the art, enjoy the libations, maybe even buy one of julia dawn's cds there.
then come back to tower mosaic and chat with the artists again.
then head to tokyo gardens for the post-art hop bash, always featuring rademacher.
