Marco Antonio Solís is without question one of the most prominent and respected Latin artists of the last three decades. Born in Mexico, Solís has been singing and wowing audiences since he formed his first group, Los Hermanitos Solís, with his brother a the age of 12. He then went on to form and front the Latin pop group Los Bukis in the early '70's. Over the next two decades, Los Bukis came to profoundly influence the norteño and tejano music of Mexico and the southwestern United States.
In the mid-'90's, Solís embarked on a solo career that has resulted in a string of platinum certified record sales, awards, and #1 hits on Billboard's Latin charts. And in 2005 at the Billboard Latin Music Awards, Solís was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award. Solís has proven to be a widely appealing superstar and his popularity continues to grow.
