If aimed at the sun, the Hubble telescope would gather enough light energy to melt the optics.

surviving in infinity

i enjoy taking part in fresno famous. i've been around a while, and i definitely think of it as community. it's a virtual third space.

so, i'm always slightly amused when some one is new around here, and they start posting comments left and right...on ancient threads. i chuckle when i see a very old headline pop up, and wonder if the conversation will be taken up with vigor. or, perhaps people may have new perspectives on what they wrote.

recently, a time capsule in tulsa, oklahoma was opened. the capsule from 1957, which was supposed to withstand a nuclear war. unfortunately, it wasn't waterproof. so, the beautiful plymouth belvedere that had been placed within was worse off than had been expected. it had much more than a "rust patina."

so, what will the next unearthed thread look like? will it be ruined car with moldy leather, or will it be pristine, still worthy of the read?
