The Valley Animal Center wants pictures of your pet for its 2008 Calendar.

Pet owners interested in having their animal appear in the calendar may submit a printed or digital photo to the Valley Animal Center, along with a $10 per photo entry fee. All photo submissions will be used in the full-color wall calendar, but only twelve photographs will be chosen to represent each month of the year. The deadline for submission is
August 31, 2007 and calendars will be available for purchase in the fall.

According to Valley Animal Center president, Christine Thornton, the calendar is a popular fundraiser for the organization. "We started creating the calendars in 2005 and since then the number of entries has grown steadily --- we receive hundreds of photo entries from all over the valley," she said.

"It is nice to know that there are pet-lovers out there who care so much for their pets and are willing to support a project that will help other animals that aren't as fortunate who need loving homes."

Money raised through the program will be used to further the Valley Animal Center's mission of ending the pet overpopulation problem in the area and to complete construction of the new Valley Animal Center shelter.
