The Fresno MET didn't get its money's worth

For all the millions that the "free" former Fresno Bee Building has cost the MET in this current renovation, they could have built a brand new building exactly to the specs.

This was a big mistake. On top of the cost, they have been closed for like 2 years.

Either the Board or the engineers that the Board hired should at least apologize for the huge mistake.

Just curious, what was the budget for the renovation?

Thanks for the clarification

You are right about the Science limited availability, I guess I don't view that as actually being "open". To me, a cultural center like the MET is Arts-centered.

Not sure if you knew this but the Met's actually not closed. They've been in a open in a temporary space (933 Van Ness at Tulare) for the last year. They have the science exhibits and still do programming like First Friday Films and other stuff out in the community (Science of Baseball at Chukchansi Park).
