etpclass.jpg

Central Valley entrepreneurs and business owners will have the opportunity to learn core business fundamentals at the Central Valley Business Incubator's new single-session seminars.

As a part of CVBI's expanding business services, these seminars introduce business basics in a single session. The courses are centered on engaging, visual presentations and are well-suited for start-up companies, sole proprietors and small businesses.

The first offering — Maintaining Balance Sheets — will help business owners read and understand this financial statement. It will be held Tuesday, Aug. 7, from 6 — 8 p.m. at CVBI's Launching Pad at 1630 E. Shaw Ave., Suite 163. The cost is $32 for CVBI members and $48 for non-members.

The second session — Computer Security Fundamentals — will highlight information about computer threats and help participants identify the hardware and software needed to mitigate the risks. It will be held Tuesday, Aug. 21, from 8:30 a.m. — 12:30 p.m. at CVBI's Launching Pad at 1630 E. Shaw Ave., Suite 163. The cost is $49 for CVBI members and $75 for non-members.

These two seminars will be led by Robert Luciano, who has more than 20 years of experience in the I.T. industry and six years of concurrent accounting experience. He has owned a computer consulting firm, worked in computer forensics helping the U.S. Secret Service and the California High-Task Crimes Force, and holds 13 industry certifications. He is currently the owner of Robert's Accounting Services in Clovis.

Future seminars taking place at CVBI will include the topic of making successful presentations. Updated seminar information as it becomes available can be found at www.cvbi.org.
