Whats HOT in Fresno?

I'm an out of towner thinking of moving to Fresno. I'm really into rock music and the music community. Before I move down I'd love to check out what Fresno has to offer.
Whats the music scene like in fresno? What are the hot clubs and venues? What out there in Fresno should I check out if I wanna taste of the Fresno music scene?
Can anyone help me out?

Fresno, we have good music too damnit!!
There's lots of good music here in Fresno from ska to rock to punk to jazz to classical to some great traditional ethnic music groups..
In my humble opinion, you probably don't wanna miss Eva Scow. I think she's the hottest act right now. She plays mandolin, and will 100% make an impact in the music world in the next level. She's recording right now, but if she has a Fresno show don't miss it next time those tickets might just cost 30 or 40 dollars.
Also if you can get out to Visalia to see them, or one their rare shows in Fresno. MEZCAL is a band that deserves more attention here in fresno, they are such a smokin' band in the and progressed so well over the years.

many of these bands (rademacher, sleepover, el olio) have networked really well and bring fresno a steady diet of good, out of town acts as well.
and, it seems like we get a fair amount of midlevel to big time acts that roll through, to venues like selland arena or the save mart center.
Club Fred is my favorite!

The mix of genres is great at all places and the atmosphere is great!
