I'm thinking of moving to Fresno. Whats the Music Scene like?

I'm an out of towner thinking of moving to Fresno. I'm really into rock music and the music community. Before I move down I'd love to check out what Fresno has to offer.
Whats the music scene like in fresno? What are the hot clubs and venues? What out there in Fresno should I check out if I wanna taste of the Fresno music scene?
Can anyone help me out?

I know there's a lot of stuff I left offa the list above...(this is me writing in aGAIN the same afternoon thinking 'oh, I shoulda mentioned this, I shoulda mentioned that') but, another good move is to pop in here at FresnoFamous occassionaly or even regularly and check the music listings and calendar. There's gotta be SOMEthing you'll like.
It sort of depends what you're looking for....
Fresno has everything from one of the largest mariachi festivals to
very fine "indie" rock bands playing in night clubs to a philharmonic orchestra and a universtity that has avante-garde and modern music programs (check out Orphius out of Fresno State y'all if you haven't) to folks playing country music covers in bars.
There are blues bands, dj's, ska bands, punk bands...
Two strong points we have here are two community radio stations that get behind local music.
One is the station out of Fresno State: KFSR 90.7 and the
other is the Pacifica station KFCF 88.1
A third strong point is the ability to get involved in the music community---it's pretty easy to get to know folks and such.
Some clubs to consider checking out are Club Fred, The Starline, Full Circle Brewery and Tokyo Gardens.
