-there are some countries, that when you get involved with the heavier companies, they are extremely involved with the govt and the money tends to come from the same places...

I actually happen to really dig the French...

..okay, Foi Gras and Escargot? that the world could have done without, but even the Canadians (who I happen to adore,) club baby seals every once in a while...
(Somethings you have to just sort of agree to disagree on...
Like China and their Human rights policies... I mean, none of us are perfect...)

well, it's not to the french gov't, but to a french company.

i had forgotten that they were some of the leading local proponents of "freedom fries." that makes the story so much better. i thought mcdonald was such a man of principle that he wouldn't sell out to such people.

I know an engineer there he states that their camera quality sucks but they make up for it in customer service. They also had to scrap a couple of thier camera lines because there were so many problems with them. Pelco is not the best company out there but they are still a good company. Hopefully nothing changes much. I will miss the tours and free lunch I ocassionally get there, hopefully that doesnt change.

First off:

Okay, correct me if I'm wrong:
1. --Was this not the SAME org. that insisted on calling their own Cafeteria's (French) Fries 'Freedom Fries,' -out of derision for the French NOT backing us, until quite recently -when we were all God, Guns, and Guts and Goin' to Iraq full tilt???

2. I've also read some pretty harrowing accounts (by former mid-and upper level management,) about their NOT voting company line, (which is Republican, -very republican,)
---and finding themselves gainfully un-employed..

3. And is this the same France that has (in recent,,, um,,, HOURS) actually been operating under a form of Socialist/Communist Government, (that is also pronouncedly Athiest?)

4. -And is this the same France that has a very strong Govt. / Private Big Business intermingling
--that really, there IS no difference between the two?
(Sort of like Italy, -sort of like, well, anywhere, ---but it's quite blatant with France...)?

Pelco just (with all of it's very VERY loud brand patriotism and PR,) just sold off to THAT?

I mean, personally?
-I think, if it's a better move for the company and the employees, and the town, than great,(perhaps the valley is going to step in the direction of Multi-Cultural
-with Clovis paving the way, after all...)

And is so 'USA-USA-USA' through and through
(particularly at Pelco, which is thought to be Clovis' greatest employer,(no doubt the loudest in terms of image... their people have license plates that reflect their employee number on their cars in some cases...)

This has got to be gravelling a lot of mustard...
