There's lots going on this Thanksgiving weekend in case you need to escape the clutches of family and foul.
Tonight check out the goth/industrial/new wave club night at the Lucky 13. Popsmear vs. Club Tyranny want to rock you on the dance floor.
Dance off the turkey tomorrow night at HOME, Salsa Thursdays at the Starline, or SoulGood at Veni Vidi Vici. The Focus boys are throwing a big party, but you gotta RSVP to find out where HOME is.
Friday night you must attend QUIET! an evening of acoustic music sponsored by Fresno Famous. Join us at Full Circle in Chinatown for performances by Mike M. from Rademacher (Fresno), Radioactive Cauliflower from El Olio Wolof (Merced), Vernal Falls (Visalia), Sean Duncan (Modesto), and Ashod from Panty Lions (Los Angeles). It's all ages and starts promptly at 8pm. A $5 donation at the door goes straight to the Poverello House!
QUIET! will end by 11pm so we can all migrate to Meatball Magic at the Red Lantern.
Also check out the Reel Pride screening of Transamerica. The new film starring Desperate Housewives' Felicity Huffman will play Fresno's Tower Theatre before anywhere else- even New York or LA. There's already Oscar buzz about Huffman's performance as the transsexual Bree.
