Birthing such indie giants as Of Montreal, Arcade Fire, and Wolf Parade the Canadian indie music scene has been getting mainstream attention. The Besnard Lakes and Starvin Hungry are two of Montreals favorite up-and-comers, and they're touring together. A tour that stops at Visalia 's own, The Cellar Door!

The Besnard Lakes pay close attention to detail. The six-member live band meticulously creates eppic songs with incredible sonic dynamic. These sparse-to-bombastic dark musical arrangements remind one of Sigur Rós, while the vocal harmonies shine as brightly as The Beach Boys.

Also from Montreal , rock trio Starvin Hungry will deliver a much more bare-boned approach to their music. Starvin Hungry is a sweaty high-speed punk meets blues rock assault.
