After ten years of touring and three celebrated Sup Pop album releases,
the Portland duo known as The Helio Sequence release their strongest
album to date this February. Their album "Keep Your Eyes Ahead" was
recently featured as an "Exclusive" MySpace album. After four years of
hard work on the album this highly anticipated release has finally
arrived. The Helio Sequence has played Howie & Son's Pizza three times
in the past, and every show is packed out!
This time The Helio Sequence brings The Builders and the Butchers (also
from Portland) to open the show. The Builders and the Butchers play a
sort of Gospel for modern folk pop lovers, chock full of junk store
percussion, strings, mandolin, banjo, bass, organ, and five-member open
vocal harmonies. Their gleeful sound and sing-a-long backing choruses
make for a fun-filled live show. Live, fans are often invited to join
in the on the singing and percussion.
