The Thermals always play to a packed house of enthusiastic fans here in Visalia at Howie & Son's Pizza. Much of the crowd bounces around and sings at the top of their lungs. The Thermals are always a good time!

The Thermals are a three piece post-pop-punk band from Portland, Oregon. The band was formed in 2002, and has since released three LP's on Sub Pop Records, played many shows in the US, UK, Germany, France, Holland, Italy, Croatia, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Canada. They have supported Death Cab For Cutie, Sleater-Kinney, Guided By Voices, Modest Mouse, The Hold Steady, The Shins, The Buzzcocks, and many other premium indie bands. In addition, the band has sold out numerous headlining tours.

They've been praised in all the mainstream music magazines including Rolling Stone, SPIN, etc, along w/ numerous newspapers world-wide. The band turned down a reported $50,000 offer for the right to use their song "It's Trivia" (from More Parts Per Million) in a Hummer commercial.

Even though The Thermals fan-base continues to skyrocket they have a soft spot for Visalia, and we (Sound N Vision Magazine) are always happy to host them.

This time The Big Sleep (Brooklyn, NY) will be opening the show! The Brooklyn-based trio bangs out muscular avant-rock textures.
